The Empty Seat Option (or ESo) allows you to enjoy the FlatBed experience in economy class from just MYR 30. The Empty Seat Option offers you a chance to acquire empty seat(s) next to your seat, thereby, creating your own 3-seat FlatBed in economy class. Stretch out, relax, sleep comfortably or do your work with more room and privacy. With Empty Seat Option, you'll arrive at your destination refreshed, active and ready to go. Travelling with a companion, you may choose a separate FlatBed for each of you or just a single FlatBed to share. In a group of more, you can choose a separate FlatBed for each one of you or a few FlatBeds exclusive to your group.

How does it work?

	If you have a flight booked with AirAsia X, you can sign-up online for Empty Seat Option by paying a nominal price starting from MYR 30 per person.
	You will be notified via email of your Empty Seat or Flatbed assignment usually 1 to 3 days but no later than 4 hours before the flight departure. If not assigned, your Empty Seat Price will be refunded to you within 5 days after the flight departure.

	Automatic Full Refund if Empty Seats are not assigned - You do not need to take any action for the refund. If you are not assigned empty seats, the empty seat price paid for your flight will be refunded automatically to you within 5 days of flight departure.
	Easy to move ESo in case of a flight change - If you change your flight before you are assigned Empty Seats, you can easily move your Empty Seat Option to the new flight. To do so, visit Manage My Option section once you have logged on to Optiontown.com. Nominal fees apply.

Steps to get an Economy FlatBed or Empty Seat

Enter booking reference details to retrieve your flight booking.
Select desired number of Empty Seats/Flatbeds for your flights.
Review and make the payment to complete your ESo sign-up.
You will be notified via email about your upgrade status usually 1 to 3 days but no later than 4 hours before the flight departure. if not assigned, the empty seat price will be refunded to you within 5 days after the flight departure.
