ITA Airways Flight Pass Rules

The following rules apply to the Flight Pass for ITA Airways.

Art. 1 - Flight Pass Definitions

"ITA Airways" refers to Italia Trasporto Aereo S.p.A.
"Optiontown" refers to Optiontown Ireland Limited, with registered address at Mespil Business Center, Mespil House, Sussex Road, Dublin 4, Ireland.
"Optiontown.com" refers to the name of the website, through which the Flight Pass can be purchased and is owned and operated by Optiontown. Flight Passes can also be purchased through http://www.ita-airways.com/ in the dedicated "Flight Pass" section.
"Flight Pass" refers to the package of prepaid vouchers to use for the subsequent issue of a number of single-leg tickets equal to the number of flights selected when buying the package.
The "Customer or "Purchaser" is the party purchasing the Flight Pass.
"Passenger" refers to one or more people who can use the tickets.
"Journey" refers to the single leg for which a voucher is used for the subsequent issue of a ticket.
"Voucher" or "Flight Credit" refers to the Flight Pass flight credit used for the subsequent issuance of a ticket.
"Ticket" refers to the air ticket, usable on a single leg, for flights to a pre selected destination or Travel Zone. The dates, times and flight number for these can be confirmed after buying the Voucher, based on the features of the Flight Pass purchased.
"Flights" refers to flights operated directly by ITA Airways aircraft. Flights under the territorial continuity system, seasonal routes and code-share flights are excluded.
"Travel period" refers to the period within which each individual ticket can be used, subject to compliance with the options selected when buying the Flight Pass.
"Destination" refers to the flight's departure and/or arrival city within ITA Airways' domestic or international network (cities in ITA Airways' intercontinental network are excluded).
"Travel Zone" refers to all destinations that can be flown to using Flight Pass tickets. A travel zone can include one or more countries in ITA Airways' network. Intercontinental destinations are excluded.
"Travel class" refers to the class on board the flight that applies to the journey being taken: Economy, Superior or Business.
"Advance Booking" refers to the minimum number of days before the flight during which tickets can be issued.
"Booking class" refers to the booking class and varies based on availability of seats on board.
"Travel Date Restrictions" is an option where restrictions apply to the selection of travel dates.
"Freedom Option" is the option allowing, up to 1 hour before the flight departure, to:
Issue a ticket
add passenger names up to the maximum number allowed (with the exclusion of the first name which will have to be entered during the Flight Pass purchase phase).
change date and time of flight.

Art. 2 - Description of Flight Pass

2.1The Flight Pass is the package of prepaid Flight credits/vouchers to use for the subsequent issue of single-leg tickets, for travel to selected destinations, at all times of the year, at fares chosen at the time of purchase, subject to availability of seats on board.
2.2Purchasers can personalize the package by choosing:
A single Destination or a Travel zone
Travel class: Economy, Business (or Superior)
Passengers: Up to 24 (the maximum number of passengers that can be selected for a single Flight Pass is equal to the number of chosen flights, except for the packages composed by 6 and 8 flights because in these cases the number of passengers can be between 1 and 2 persons).
Number of flights: From 6 to 24.
Travel period: Up to a maximum of 12 months from buying the Flight Pass.
Advance booking: From 90 days up until 1 hour before the departing flight.
Freedom Option: Selecting the booking period of 1 hour before the flight.
Travel Date Restrictions : Choose either Black-out dates (that restricts travel on certain dates during the year) for a cheaper price or choose the Open Travel Date that allows complete flexibility to travel at all times of the year.
For each parameter, the customer will have different options available which will determine the price of the Flight Pass.

Art. 3 - Sales Channels

3.1Purchase and use of Flight Pass can be made directly from the Flight Pass website. You may also visit the www.ita-airways.com website and go to the dedicated section for Flight Pass, which will also redirect you to the same Flight Pass website. Alternatively, you may also directly go to the Optiontown.com website and select Flight Pass tab.

Art. 4 - Purchase and Conditions

4.1 Purchasers can use the Flight Pass website to buy and use the Flight Pass. You may also visit the www.ita-airways.com website and go to the dedicated section for Flight Pass, which will also redirect you to the same Flight Pass website. Alternatively, you may also directly go to the Optiontown.com website and select Flight Pass tab. When redirected to the platform, purchasers must select the features for their Flight Pass. Purchasers have to register creating an account. Once they have the login credentials they can log in with their "Username" and "Password" and finalize the purchase by selecting their profile based on the type of journey.
4.2Tickets can be issued only for flights operated by ITA Airways' aircraft; code-share flights are excluded.
4.3Flights under the territorial continuity system and seasonal routes are excluded.
4.4Each ticket issued can be used on only one leg. When buying the Flight Pass, the name of at least one passenger who can then use the tickets must be entered via the platform. Names of other passengers must be entered again by logging into the platform using the "Username" and "Password", up until the maximum time limit selected at the time of purchase is reached. Only if you have purchased the "Freedom Option" you can enter the names after the first, up to 1 hour before the departure of the flight. The names of passengers entered in the system can be changed logging into the platform with your "Username" and "Password", going to the "Manage My Flight Pass" section, "Change My Flight Pass", select the Flight Pass purchased, replace passenger name paying a supplementary charge and confirm.
4.5After you have purchased Flight Pass, users may be able to change some of the purchased Flight Pass parameters (Travel Class, Number of Trips, Number of Passengers, Period of Trip, Booking Period and Black-out Dates) by paying a fare difference and the applicable fees as indicated in the summary table below:

To do this, visit the Manage My Pass section after logging in to your Optiontown Flight Pass account and select the parameter you wish to change from the list where all changeable parameters will be displayed. Any applicable fee and/or fare difference will be shown to you at the time of doing the transaction.
4.6The Flight Pass price includes the fare, including taxes and supplements, of the tickets that will then be issued.
4.7The Flight Pass must be paid for in one payment at the time of purchase. To purchase the voucher it will be necessary to insert the data requested in the customer profile in order to issue the invoice.
4.8The Flight Pass price is variable and relates to the time when the package is purchased.
4.9The entire Flight Pass and/or the individual vouchers of the package purchased cannot be canceled or refunded.
4.10Each ticket allows the passenger to carry the baggage allowance for the pre selected travel class:
For Economy class, one item of hand baggage weighing no more than 8 kg is permitted. Economy Class fares do not include hold baggage. If you wish to purchase a hold baggage you can refer to the LIGHT FARE BAGGAGE CONDITIONS you can find on http://www.ita-airways.com/.
For Superior class (or Business Class in Domestic Italy), one item of hand baggage weighing no more than 8 kg and two hold pieces of baggage weighing up to 23 kg each are permitted.
For Business class, one item of hand baggage weighing no more than 8 kg and two items of hold baggage weighing up to 32 kg each are permitted.
All items are subject to the ITA Airways baggage size restrictions, which can be found on http://www.ita-airways.com/.
4.11Access to Lounges, Fast Track and Priority Boarding, where they exist, are included in the Business and Superior travel classes.
4.12Tickets can be used by children under 15 years old only if they are accompanied by an adult. The "Unaccompanied Minors" procedure is not permitted.
4.13The Flight Pass price does not include reductions for children under 15 years old.
4.14Italy Youth Flight Pass and Sicily Youth Flight Pass are valid for young people aged between 12 and 25 years on the flight/s boarding date/s. Youth Flight Pass is not applicable for unaccompanied minors aged 12 to 14 years old.
4.15ITA Airways declines any responsibility for damage or losses associated with misdirected or incomplete logins caused by computer malfunctions, viruses, bugs or other causes. ITA Airways is not in any way responsible for reproduction or indirect access via third-party websites or if the website misinterprets or omits any information from the Terms and Conditions regarding the Flight Pass.
4.16ITA Airways reserves the right to amend these Flight Pass Terms and Conditions at any time.

Art. 5 - Using the Flight Pass to Issue Tickets

5.1To issue tickets, purchasers must go to Flight Pass website, go to the dedicated "Flight Pass" section and select "Book Flight". When redirected to the platform, they must log into the platform with their "Username" and "Password", select "Book flight", select the Flight Pass purchased, select the flight, date and departure time, select the passenger receiving the ticket and then issue the ticket.
5.2Tickets must be issued and used within the period defined by the "Travel period", unless the buyer has also purchased the "Freedom Option", in which case the ticket can be issued up to 1 hour before the departure of the flight.
5.3For those who have purchased the "Freedom Option", change of date and time of the booked flight are permitted, up to 1 hour before flight departure at no extra cost (changes possible only on the web platform and subject to availability and the rules of the Flight Pass). For other passengers it is possible to change the date and time of the flight booked prior to the departure of the flight, within the selected booking period and with a supplementary charge for amending the booking of € 65.00 (changing your ticket is only possible online and is subject to availability and Flight Pass rules).
5.4Tickets issued cannot be canceled or refunded except for airport taxes.
5.5None of the Flight Pass Economy Class fares includes free seat selection. For further details, please read Additional services "seat selection" to the page created for the description of the service. If you do not purchase your preferred seat, the system will assign one free of charge during check-in, based on availability and operational and safety criteria.
5.6Any ancillary services can be purchased directly via the ITA Airways' website during check-in or, if directly available, at the airport.

Art. 6 - Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

6.1The Flight Pass Terms and Conditions will be regulated and interpreted in accordance with Italian law. ITA Airways and all passengers accept the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Italian courts to resolve any disputes that may arise between them.
6.2For anything not explicitly specified in these Flight Pass Terms and Conditions, please refer to the ITA Airways General Conditions of Carriage, website Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, all available on http://www.ita-airways.com/.
ITA Airways Youth Flight Pass Rules

The following terms and conditions ("Terms and Conditions") apply to Youth Flight Passes that are offered from time to time. All of the above conditions apply except for the conditions listed below that are specific to Youth Flight Passes only.

Art. 1 - Definitions for Youth Flight Pass

"ITA Airways" refers to Italia Trasporto Aereo S.p.A.
"Optiontown" refers to Optiontown Ireland Limited, with a registered address at Mespil Business Center, Mespil House, Sussex Road, Dublin 4, Ireland.
"Optiontown.com" refers to the name of the web platform operator through which the Flight Pass can be purchased on ita-airways.com in the dedicated section "Youth Flight Pass".
"Youth Flight Pass" refers to a special promotional Flight Pass which is valid only for youth aged between 12 and 25 years on flight departure date. Youth Flight Pass is not applicable for unaccompanied minors aged 12 to 14 years old.
It is sold by ITA Airways on ita-airways.com through the www.Optiontown.com website.
"Buyer" is the person who purchases the Flight Pass.
"Passenger" refers to one or more people who can use the tickets.
"Trip" refers to the single route on which you intend to use the voucher for the subsequent issue of the ticket.
"Voucher" refers to the purchase voucher to be used for the subsequent issue of the ticket.
"Ticket" refers to the air ticket, which can be used on a single route, and return, whose dates, times and flight number can be confirmed after the purchase of the Voucher.
"Flights" refers to flights operated directly by ITA Airways aircraft.
"Travel period" refers to the period within which to use each individual ticket, provided that the conditions highlighted during the purchase of the Flight Pass are respected.
"Destination" is defined as the city of departure and/or arrival of the flight.
"Travel Zone" is defined as the set of destinations where you can fly using the tickets that make up the Flight Pass.
"Travel class" refers to the class on board the flight on which the journey is made: Economy.
"Booking period" refers to the minimum number of days/hours before the flight, in which it is possible to issue the ticket.
"Booking class" is the booking class and varies according to the travel class.
"Black-out dates" refers to the option that applies restrictions on the selection of travel dates.
"Freedom Option" is the option allowing, up to 1 hour before the flight departure, to:
Issue a ticket
add passenger names up to the maximum number allowed (with the exclusion of the first name which will have to be entered during the Flight Pass purchase phase).
change date and time of flight.

Art. 2 - Description of Youth Flight Pass

2.1Youth Flight Passes is a special promotional Flight Pass.
2.2Youth Flight Pass offer is valid only for youth aged between 12 and 25 years on flight departure date.
2.3Youth Flight Pass is not applicable for unaccompanied minors aged 12 to 14 years old.
2.4ITA Airways reserves the right to check the eligibility of passengers using the Young People fare when they board the flight. If passengers cannot prove their eligibility, they will be denied boarding. Where possible, the passengers will be offered the option of paying the difference between the Young People fare and the adult fare available at the time.
2.5 Offer consists of two different packages:
Italy Youth Flight Pass valid to travel in Economy Class on direct domestic routes (flights under the territorial continuity system, seasonal routes and code-share flights are excluded);
Sicily Youth Flight Pass valid to travel in Economy Class on Rome Fiumicino and Milan Linate to Catania and Palermo and viceversa.
2.6Purchasers can personalize the package by choosing:
Passengers: Up to 24 (the maximum number of passengers that can be selected for a single Flight Pass is equal to the number of chosen flights, except for the packages composed by 6 and 8 flights because in these cases the number of passengers can be between 1 and 2 persons).
Number of flights: From 6 to 24.

Once you have obtained your login credentials, you will be able to access with "Username" and "Password" and finalize the purchase by selecting your profile based on the type of trip.
4.2Tickets can only be issued for flights operated by ITA Airways aircraft, code share flights are excluded.

These are subject to the ITA Airways size restrictions found on ita-airways.com.
4.10Tickets can be used by minors under the age of 15 only if accompanied by an adult of age. The "Unaccompanied Minors" procedure is not permitted.
4.11Youth Flight Pass offer is valid only for youth aged between 12 and 25 years on flight departure date. Youth Flight Pass is not applicable for unaccompanied minors aged 12 to 14 years old. ITA Airways reserves the right to check the eligibility of passengers using the Young People fare when they board the flight. 4.12ITA Airways declines all responsibility for damage or loss resulting from misdirected or incomplete access resulting from computer malfunctions, viruses, bugs or other causes. ITA Airways is in no way responsible for the reproduction or indirect access via third party websites or if the website misrepresents or omits any information in the Terms and Conditions associated with the Flight Pass.
4.13ITA Airways reserves the right to change these Youth Flight Pass Terms and Conditions at any time.

Art. 5 - Use of the Flight Pass for the issue of tickets

5.1 To issue tickets, purchasers must go to Flight Pass website, go to the dedicated "Youth Flight Pass" section and select "Book Flight". When redirected to the platform, they must log into the platform with their "Username" and "Password", select "Book flight", select the Flight Pass purchased, select the flight , date and time of departure, select the passenger receiving the ticket, proceed with the ticket issue.
5.2Tickets must be issued and used within the period defined by the "Travel Period".
5.3It is possible to change the date and time of the flight booked, before the flight departure, within the booking period (up to one hour before the flight departure), with the payment of a supplement for booking change of € 65.00 (ticket change only possible on the web platform). For those who have purchased the "Freedom Option" change of date and time of the booked flight are permitted, up to 1 hour before flight departure at no extra cost (changes possible only on the Web platform).
5.4Tickets issued cannot be canceled or refunded with the exception of airport taxes.
5.5None of the Youth Flight Pass Economy Class fare includes free seat selection. For all relevant details, please read about Additional services, "seat selection", on the page created for the description of this service. If you do not purchase your preferred seat, the system will assign one free of charge during check-in, based on availability and operational and safety criteria
5.6Any ancillary services can be purchased directly on the ITA Airways website during check-in or, if available directly, at the airport.

ITA Airways Promotional Flight Pass Rules

The following terms and conditions ("Terms and Conditions") apply to the Promotional Flight Passes that are offered from time to time. All of the above conditions apply except for the conditions listed below that are specific to the promotional Flight Passes only.

Art. 1 - Definitions for Promotional Flight Pass

"ITA Airways" refers to Italia Trasporti Aereo S.p.A.
"Optiontown" refers to Optiontown Ireland Limited, with a registered address at Mespil Business Center, Mespil House, Sussex Road, Dublin 4, Ireland.
"Optiontown.com" refers to the name of the website offering Flight Passes and is owned by Optiontown. Click here to buy the Promotional Flight Pass through the Promotional Flight Pass website. You may also visit the ita-airways.com website and go to the dedicated section for Promotional Flight Pass section, which will also redirect you to the same Flight Pass website.
"Promotional Flight Pass" refers to a special promotional Flight Pass which has some special conditions and restrictions attached to it. The package of prepaid vouchers to be used for the subsequent issue of single-leg tickets equal to 50 flights. It is sold by ITA Airways on ita-airways.com through the www.Optiontown.com website.
"Buyer" is the person who purchases the Flight Pass.
"Passenger" refers to one or more people who can use the tickets.
"Trip" refers to the single route on which you intend to use the voucher for the subsequent issue of the ticket.
"Voucher" refers to the purchase voucher to be used for the subsequent issue of the ticket.
"Ticket" refers to the air ticket, which can be used on a single Rome Fiumicino - Milan Linate route,and return, whose dates, times and flight number can be confirmed after the purchase of the Voucher.
"Flights" refers to flights operated directly by ITA Airways aircraft.
"Travel period" refers to the period within which to use each individual ticket, provided that the conditions highlighted during the purchase of the Flight Pass are respected.
"Destination" is defined as the city of departure and/or arrival of the flight (Rome Fiumicino or MilanLinate).
"Travel Zone" is defined as the set of destinations where you can fly using the tickets that make up the Flight Pass.

Art. 2 - Description of Promotional Flight Pass

2.1Promotional Flight Passes have the same basic features of a Flight Pass but have some additional conditions and offer an attractive price, and these conditions are defined below. At any point of time, when there is a contradiction between a Flight Pass and Promo Flight Pass, then the conditions listed in Promo Flight Pass will prevail. Currently, the Promotional Flight Pass is only being made available for the Rome Fiumicino - Milan Linate route to be used for the subsequent issuance of tickets, which allows you to travel from Rome Fiumicino to Milan Linate and vice versa, in all periods of the year, in one dedicated booking class, which varies depending on the travel class chosen at the time of purchase.

4.1 Purchasers can use the Promotional Flight Pass website to buy and use the Flight Pass. You may also visit the ita-airways.com website and go to the dedicated section for Promotional Flight Pass section, which will also redirect you to the same Promotional Flight Pass website., choose the travel class between Economy and Superior (Business) select "Buy Flight Pass". The Buyer should register by creating an account. Once you have obtained your login credentials, you will be able to access with "Username" and "Password" and finalize the purchase by selecting your profile based on the type of trip.
4.2Tickets can only be issued for flights operated by ITA Airways aircraft, code share flights are excluded.
4.3Flights with territorial continuity and seasonal routes are excluded.
4.4Each ticket issued can only be used on a single route. When purchasing the Flight Pass, at least the first name of the passenger who can subsequently use the tickets must be entered on the platform. The other passenger names should then be added, always by accessing the platform using "Username" and "Password", within the booking period (up to one hour before the trip). It is not possible under any circumstances to change the names and dates of birth of the passengers entered in the system.
4.5Once the Flight Pass has been purchased, it is not possible to change the Flight Pass parameters for promo Flight Passes: Travel Destination or Area, Travel Class, Number of Trips, Number of Passengers, Travel Period, Booking Period.
4.6The price of the Flight Pass includes the fare, including taxes and surcharges, of the tickets that will be issued later.
4.7The price of the Flight Pass must be paid in a single payment at the time of purchase. To issue the Voucher it will be necessary to enter the required data in your profile in order to issue the relevant invoice.
4.8The price of the Flight Pass varies, depending on the travel class selected.
4.9The entire Flight Pass and/or individual vouchers of the purchased package cannot be canceled or refunded.
4.10Baggage

These are subject to the ITA Airways size restrictions found on ita-airways.com.
4.11Access to Lounges, Fast Track and Priority Boarding, if any, are included in the Superior Travel Class.
4.12Tickets can be used by minors under the age of 15 only if accompanied by an adult of age. The "Unaccompanied Minors" procedure is not permitted.
4.13The price of the Flight Pass does not include reductions for minors under the age of 15.
4.14ITA Airways declines all responsibility for damage or loss resulting from misdirected or incomplete access resulting from computer malfunctions, viruses, bugs or other causes. ITA Airways is in no way responsible for the reproduction or indirect access via third party websites or if the website misrepresents or omits any information in the Terms and Conditions associated with the Flight Pass.
4.15ITA Airways reserves the right to change these Flight Pass Terms and Conditions at any time.

Art. 5 - Use of the Flight Pass for the Issue Of Tickets

5.1 The buyer, to issue the ticket, must log on to Flight Pass website, select "Book Flights", and once redirected to the platform, log in using "Username" and "Password", select "Book flights", select the Flight Pass purchased, select flight , date and time of departure, select the passenger receiving the ticket, proceed with the ticket issue.
5.2Tickets must be issued and used within the period defined by the "Travel Period".
5.3Flight Pass can be redeemed only as long as seats are available in W class for Economy pass and D class for Business pass. It is possible to change the date and time of the flight booked, before the flight departure, within the booking period (up to one hour before the flight departure), with the payment of a supplement for booking change of € 30.00 (ticket change only possible on the web platform and subject to availability of the dedicated booking class).
5.4Tickets issued cannot be canceled or refunded with the exception of airport taxes.
5.5No Flight Pass Economy Class fare includes free seat selection. For all relevant details, please read about Additional services, "seat selection", on the page created for the description of this service. If you do not purchase your preferred seat, the system will assign one free of charge during check-in, based on availability and operational and safety criteria.
5.6Any ancillary services can be purchased directly on the ITA Airways website during check-in or, if available directly, at the airport.

Art. 6 - Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

6.1The Flight Pass Terms and Conditions will be governed and interpreted in accordance with Italian law. ITA Airways and each passenger accept the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Italian courts, to resolve any disputes that may arise between them.
